A Collection Of Wise Sayings (Al-Fawaid): is one of the well-known compilations of Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him). This book consists of the elevated thoughts that Allah bestows upon some of His servants as He wills. So whenever any of these scattered pearls of wisdom occurred to the Imam, he would immediately record them.

It contains topics e.g. purification, prayer, zakah, fasting, pilgrimage and Jihad. Afterwards, it begins to show the other rulings e.g. trade transactions, partnership, sharecropping and renting, reclamation of wastelands and possession of allowable objects, inheritance, marriage, divorce, breastfeeding, legal retribution, prescribed punishments, food, oaths and vows, and judiciary. The author said in his introduction, “There are hundreds of benefits associated with Dhikr, the act of rehearsing and celebrating the praises of Allah.
